CONTROLLERS

Apollo controllers form the basis of the Access Control system, storing the cardholder database and accepting access requests from field devices. Controllers are available supporting up to 96 doors, the highest capacity in the industry.

AAN-100 — 96 Reader Intelligent System Controller

Apollo’s AAN-100 Intelligent System Controller for Access Control and Alarm Monitoring sets the industry standard with support of up to 96 devices (readers, alarm panels, status panels) and memory capacity of 1,240,000 cardholders/65,535 events. The on-board 32-bit processor supports advanced inter-device reactions (Internal Variables) that are stored within the controller’s memory and thus operate without relying on a PC/software host, providing ultra-dependable functions for the highest security applications.

For fast loading of configuration/cardholder data and reporting of events, the AAN-100 can utilize RS-485, RS-232 or Ethernet communication with available 256-bit AES Rijndael encryption and dual-path communication. Communication to devices is routed through four ports that can support a versatile mix-and-match combination of RS-485, RS-232 and Ethernet communication, all monitored by separate communication status LED’s.

 

AAN-32 — 32 Reader Intelligent System Controller

Apollo’s AAN-32 Intelligent System Controller provides reliable, robust access control and alarm monitoring for up to 32 devices (readers, alarm panels, status panels) with a memory capacity of up to 297,00 cardholders/65,535 events. Perfect for small and medium sized installations while not compromising on advanced features such as inter-device reactions (Internal Variables) that are stored within the controller’s memory, operating without relying on a PC/software host. The AAN-32 is also ideally suited for remote sites for larger projects.

For fast loading of configuration/cardholder data and reporting of events, the AAN-32 can utilize RS-485, RS-232 or Ethernet communication with available 256-bit AES Rijndael encryption and dual-path communication.  Communication to devices is routed through a device port that supports a RS-485, RS-232 or Ethernet communication, monitored by an on-board communication status LED.

 

AAN-4/2/1 — Integrated Controller / Reader Interface

Apollo’s AAN-4/2/1 Integrated Controller-Interfaces give you the best of both worlds by combining a powerful controller directly with reader/door control. Enjoy the flexibility to choose the right controller for your application, supporting combinations of four, two or one readers with door hardware. AAN-4/2/1 controllers not only have standard features such as Precision Access and Full Anti-Passback, but can maintain normal functions in off-line mode thanks to a 20,000 cardholder/7,000 event local database. The AAN performs as a self-contained controller, communicating directly to Apollo’s APACS Software, making it ideal for add-ons to a larger system or for a remote location that require basic controller features.

AAN-4/2/1 controllers fully integrate a full range of reader types including proximity, smart card and biometric with up to 8 card formats supported simultaneously allowing you to mix and match different reader types or easily migrate old card populations. Paired with Apollo’s APACS Software, get easy biometric management and enrolment with central database storage and smart distribution of biometric templates.

 

APN-35 — Two Door Standalone Controller

The APN-35 is a standalone two door controller used for connection of two Wiegand type card readers and all the necessary input and outputs associated with two access controlled doors. The APN-35 can also be used for a single door operation with entry/exit readers and anti passback. If the APN-35 becomes disconnected from the host software package the APN-35 continues to operate all functions of the system without reverting to a degraded mode. The APN-35 supports standard proximity and other readers with Wiegand interfaces such as bar code, smart card, biometric, keypad, etc. The APN-35 also supports Magnetic stripe readers utilizing ABA Track 2 encoding. The APN-35 provides complete time zone control of access with its battery-backed real time clock. Up to 1000 events are internally buffered for transmission to PC when communications is restored.

READER INTERFACES

Reader interfaces provide the connection point for door hardware including readers and locks. In Apollo systems, Reader Interfaces also provide a level of redundancy, storing a local copy of the card database in case of communication failure to the controller.

The AIM-1ELE supports a wide variety of reader techlogies including proximity, smart card, magnetic stripe, and biometric. Connecting to one of Apollo’s AAN or AAM Series Controllers provides access to advanced features for automatic floor controlled based on pre-set conditions.  In an offline condition, the AIM-1ELE continues to provide basic function and allow security of sensitive areas.

The AP-500 provides an access control system with added security by furnishing a third level of database redundancy. The database can now reside in the card reader mounted at the door, as well as in the host and AAM-20/80 or AAN/100. The AP- 500 can accept a full or partial download of the database from the host or AAM, and the user can select which cards should be downloaded.

The AP-530 is  low cost, single door, stand-alone access control. The AP-530 provides complete time zone control of access with its battery-backed real time clock, and provides a printer output for event logging and configuration output, via its RS-232 serial interface. No programming cards, as used on other low cost stand-alone readers, are required. All AP-530 programming is performed via its integral 12 position keypad.

 

AP-Mobile Identification Device

Identity verification goes everywhere with APACS Mobile, a powerful and easy to use solution for transporting all your cardholder information anywhere. Download all card issue and access level data to the handheld device and immediately start scanning credentials. Customizable cardholder information will be displayed along with the access decision which is based on the selected location. Just like a standard reader, events are sent back to the APACS database immediately via WiFi connection or stored until a connection is available.
